Associations educational and mentorship  programs themselves. Usually they provide training sessions and workshops to update the qualifications of professionals already at work or to introduce new technologies and areas of practice.

Associations present thematic conferences for their membership, sometimes held jointly with other professions or with users to discuss advances, issues and problems current in their practice. Associations can also be of help by offering professional alternatives for their reflection and providing them with professional guidelines on specific problems. They can be asked for advice by government.

Rationales of ARSNM

There was no body representing the Arab world in the NM field

There are many rooms for improvement in nuclear medicine profession in our area; starting from education, training, certifying, practicing communication,  awareness and advocacy.

This will eventually be reflected on the provided benefits to working staff & quality of service to patients.

Constitution

The primary charter was drafted during the first meeting and it was developed later through discussion among the Executive committee.

Executive committee opted to adjourn the releasing of constitution to gain more consensus at wider level and to adopt all rational suggestions.

Will be revised or finalized during the general assembly within the first major conference.

Objectives

To establish co-operation between Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging professionals, groups and societies active in the field of nuclear medicine in the Arab world.

To cooperate and affiliate with the regional and international established nuclear medicine societies in the region and the world.

To organize whatever commissions and meetings are necessary to attain such objectives, in particular convening specialists in Nuclear Medicine.

To establish and operate a unified Nuclear Medicine Board Certification program in the Arab world.

To facilitate the exchange of scientists between the member groups, societies and associations.

To promote the development of Nuclear Medicine in the Arab World.

The primary role of the ARSNM is the progress and promotion of nuclear medicine throughout the Arab world

The ARSNM major Congress, will became a key regional forum for the presentation of all aspects of basic, applied and clinical nuclear medicine research, diagnosis and treatment of various disorders.
